These Ore Car Replicas exactly follow the original design used in Colorado mines
in the late 1800's. The detail is complete even to the foot operated
hold down latch and 360 degree operating turn table which allows the
car to dump in any direction. Wheels are reproductions of an
exclusive curved five spoke cast iron design. The main feature
of the "scoop" type ore car was its "tilt" to
allow loading by scooping into it-rather than shovel the
"load" over the sides. These replicas tilt and
operate just like the originals allowing for a variety of attractive
displays.
